SUMMARY:


The Inside Sales Representative will identify and develop new business opportunities, develop new accounts, and drive incremental revenue for existing accounts.

This role will provide a high level of account management to new & existing customers within the allocated customer listing supplying credible expert service.

As part of this role, the successful Inside Sales Representative will develop new partners and generate incremental revenue among high value clients in line with our company plan.

The Inside Sales Representative will develop a detailed sales strategy aligned with the company's requirement of growing business.


EXPECTATIONS:


  • Prospect for core business with identified key accounts.
  • Provide service to existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential sales volumes.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/ annual territory analysis.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide overflow telephone queue support for the sales floor.
  • 8:30am5:30pm in office hours when not traveling.
  • Weekly strategic meetings with Sales Management

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:


  • Demonstrate strong sales negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding customerfacing skills including communication, sales presentation, customer advocacy and problemsolving techniques.
  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to plan effectively
  • Ability to present a confident, articulate, and outgoing persona with the ability to establish professional rapport with decision makers.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal team members.
  • Excel in interpersonal relationships supporting a team environment.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:


  • Product line sales and margin performance versus plan.
  • Numbers of prospects identified and contacted.
  • Pipeline development.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • 5+ year proven track record of inside sales.
  • Understanding of the commercial aspects of product management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record in identifying and developing new business opportunities and revenue streams.
  • Organized, disciplined, and highly motivated.
  • Ability to remain professional, motivated, and focused when under pressure.
  • Capacity to work alone independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to quickly absorb new information.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (Epicor is a plus)
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, preferably HubSpot, and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
