Overview:
You will be tasked with providing personalized instruction for a 2nd-grade level student, with a particular focus on math and reading.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of child development principles and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop rapport and establish a trusting relationship with students and families.
- Confidence and experience in providing 1:1 instruction, effectively modeling and correcting common errors with young learners.
- Ability to carry out a lesson plan and utilize materials provided.
- Ability to identify error patterns and communicate with the supervisor.
- Positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
Position Details:
- Hours: 2 to 7 hours per day, depending on performance and availability.
- Flexible scheduling options may be available to accommodate students' and families' needs.
Mock Lesson Requirements:
- Adding with decimals: Use a worksheet do demonstrate how to add decimals.
- Sorting words based on word patterns: Use word cards to show how you would teach sorting words based on their word patterns (ex short vowel and long vowel letter A)
- Reading sentences: Demonstrate how to support a learner practicing reading sentences from a children's book, and how to scaffold and teach reading.
