The Accounting Assistant performs the day-to-day accounting functions of the Agency. He/she must possess the requisite skills necessary to ensure that Linwood's standards for excellence are met or exceeded.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process billing for services rendered utilizing DDA LTSS billing system
  • Researches and resolves discrepancies before billing.
  • Compares remittance reports to billed claims to determine payment status of claims.
  • Initiates research promptly on all claims not paid within an expected timeframe
  • Works frequently with other departments to obtain information necessary for billing and to resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare monthly internal financial reporting.
  • Assist with agency annual budgets.
  • Manages general ledger accounts and bank accounts reconciliation.
  • Provides information to management in areas such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounting functions.
  • Assists in collect and report attendances for Adult programs and accrual of revenue based on attendance data.
  • Scanning, filing and document retention.
  • Assists with the preparation of audit schedules and related supporting documentation.
  • Performs general office duties, assists with daily projects and performs other duties as needed.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Pay rate:
$23.00/hour


Shift:
Monday - Friday with flexible hours
