Description
This position is a direct hire solicitation through the Direct-Hire Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) facilities and is open to all U.S. citizens.
This is a term appointment not to exceed 2 years and may be extended for up to a total of 8 years.
Watervliet Arsenal is looking for motivated, skilled trade professionals to join their team. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement.
Routes parts to assembly areas, provides inventories, and dispatches directions for a 3-shift operation. Receives materials and dispatches them between control points and shops for assembly. Uses forklifts to move loads under 10,000 lbs.
- Ability to prepare materials for dispatch using forklifts
- Routing parts based on priorities
- Tracking and maintaining materials/items properly
- Must possess or obtain a valid state Driver's License
- Completion of preemployment Physical Examination
- Shift work requirement for evening, weekends, holidays
- Expected overtime work
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship
