Reputable healthcare company in Southern California is seeking for an experienced RIS /PACS Administrator who will join our growing organization and provide RIS/PACS Support our IT Department.

RIS/ PACS Administrator manages, monitors, troubleshoots, implements, and trains staff on the Picture Archive and Communication (PACS) system.

The incumbent will ensure timely and complete capture of Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) digital image data into the PACS system.

The incumbent manages network transmission, Radiology Information Systems validation (RIS).


Responsibilities:


  • Provides input to and coordinates the Client Implementation around RIS/PACS Integration
  • Develops a project plan for the implementation of clients and all associated integration efforts
  • Participates in the development of RIS/PACS/Dictation operational procedures.
  • Demonstrates appropriate clinical and/or management decisions and competent judgments. Provides necessary information to and seeks counsel of IT Manager as appropriate
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of the various client RIS, PACS and Dictation systems.
  • Coordinates key activities related to RIS/PACS & Client Implementation activities with IT department.
  • Identifies, analyzes, tracks, and reports system and other related problems; responsible for supporting client report reconciliation efforts
  • Able to support client onsite needs pre and post go live as required

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a related health care discipline or information systems discipline
  • 2 years experience in general IT and Networking
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • CA Driver License is a must
- this position is required to assist other locations in Los Angeles and Orange County.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Certified PACS Interface Analyst Exam (CPIA) and the Certified PACS System Manager Exam (CPMS)
