    Description

    Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector at Powell

    Powell is a well-known manufacturer specializing in switchgear and electrical equipment. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in inspecting and testing Bus duct, Low and Medium voltage Motor Control, Low and Medium voltage Switchgear, and PCR. The work schedule is structured as four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, starting at 6:00 am and ending at 4:30 pm.

    Position Summary

    To lead the Inspection Crew in conducting the final inspection and testing of various equipment. You'll also be responsible for training the crew to conduct these tests during customer inspections when necessary.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Inspect and test all equipment manufactured at Powell facilities.
    • Liaise with various departments including shop, engineering, sales, customers, and shipping.
    • Participate in safety and training meetings within the department.
    • Assist in scheduling Customer Inspections and attend pre-inspection meetings.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
    • Supervise Inspection crew and provide necessary training.
    • Review and submit all inspection documentation.
    • Act as a backup Inspection Supervisor when needed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma.
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in the industrial electrical field or an associate degree in electrical technology.
    • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of electrical theory.

      • Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements

      • Ability to address technical inquiries from different departments and customers.
      • Proficiency in using various handheld test equipment.
      • Basic computer skills using Oracle, Word, Excel, and Access.
      • Extensive knowledge of industry standards and codes related to electrical equipment.
      • Aptitude in technical writing and problem-solving.
      • Familiarity with Standard First Aid and CPR procedures.
