Job Summary:

We're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens. As a Financial Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing the financial operations of our church, ensuring transparency, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with financial policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, financial expertise, and a dedication to supporting our church community's financial well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the church's annual budget in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Monitor budget performance and provide regular financial status reports to leadership
• Conduct financial analysis for strategic decision-making and long-term planning
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial trends and forecasts
• Oversee and track all financial transactions for accuracy and policy compliance
• Implement cost control measures to optimize spending
• Prepare timely financial reports for stakeholders
• Present financial information to church leadership
• Collaborate with auditors for annual financial audits
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations
• Manage cash flow to support operational needs
• Recommendations for improving cash flow efficiency
• Manage A/P and A/R processes and payments
• Track and record donations with transparency
• Work with the fundraising team to align financial goals with efforts
• Utilize financial software for process improvement
• Stay updated on industry best practices

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (CFA, CPA, MBA a plus)
• Professional certifications or master's degrees are beneficial
• Experience as a Financial Analyst, preferably in a nonprofit or religious organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with diverse teams
