    Apex Systems is looking to fill a DevOps Engineer with a large client of ours out of the Miami area.

    2 Year Contract with potential to convert full timeOnsite Requirements : 3-4 days a week onsite in MiamiOverview:As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving our transition from Jenkins to GitHub, leveraging your expertise to optimize our development processes and enhance collaboration across teams.

    In addition to managing our CI/CD pipelines, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership to support our strategic initiatives.


    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the migration from Jenkins to GitHub, including the design, implementation, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to automate and streamline our development workflows, driving efficiency and productivity.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering their growth and development in DevOps best practices.
    • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems and applications.
    • Manage cloud infrastructure and deployment environments, leveraging tools such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to our DevOps toolchain and processes, staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Proven experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, including configuration and optimization for CI/CD.
    • Strong background in DevOps principles and practices, with handson experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
    • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines.
    • Prior experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical projects is highly desirable.
    • Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
