    YOUR PURPOSE:


    The Lead DevOps Engineer plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless integration and deployment of software applications across our infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on leveraging DevOps agnostic tools, AWS and Azure services.

    This role demands a proactive approach to automation, infrastructure management, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.

    The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cloud-native technologies, infrastructure as code (IaC), and security best practices, alongside a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.


    Responsibilities:


    Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring the automation of build, test, and deployment processes across various environments.

    Lead the adoption and management of AWS services, focusing on scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions to meet business and technical requirements.

    Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, ensuring the efficient provisioning and management of cloud resources.
    Secure sensitive data and credentials using HashiCorp Vault, enhancing the security posture of our applications and infrastructure.

    Employ Packer for creating identical machine images across multiple platforms from a single source configuration, facilitating consistent and predictable deployments.

    Leverage Ansible for configuration management, automating the provisioning, deployment, and management of infrastructure and applications.
    Manage artifacts and dependencies using Nexus, ensuring reliable access to binary repositories.

    Collaborate with development, QA, operations, and IT secutity teams to foster a DevOps culture, emphasizing the importance of automation, monitoring, and proactive incident management.

    Conduct continuous assessment and adoption of new technologies and tools to address evolving business needs and technical challenges.

    Mentor and guide team members in DevOps best practices, tools, and technologies, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement.


    Qualifications:

    Technical Skills:
    Proven expertise in AWS cloud services, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture and service management.
    Extensive experience with Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, and Packer for infrastructure as code, secrets management, and image creation.
    Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions, and familiarity with other pipeline tools.
    Solid experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation of complex deployments.
    Knowledge of artifact management using Nexus or similar tools, ensuring efficient artifact storage and retrieval.
    Strong background in containerization technologies and orchestrators (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for deploying microservices.
    Demonstrated ability in scripting and automation using shell scripts, Python, or other scripting languages.
    Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure high availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
    Familiarity with network, security, and database administration, particularly in a cloud environment.
    Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions.

    Education:
    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.

    Experience:


    7+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, and cloud infrastructure management, with a proven track record of leading successful DevOps initiatives.

    Extensive experience working with AWS, Terraform, HashiCorp Vault, Packer, GitHub Actions, Ansible, and Nexus.

    This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the incumbent to have the ability to operate computer equipment, speak, hear, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and carry up to 25 lbs.
