Remote positions available for candidates residing in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Montana, or Wisconsin.

The role of IS Application Systems Administrator II involves implementing and managing corporate applications, as well as influencing the selection of effective application solutions to support business strategies. This position includes evaluating, architecting, implementing, and administering IS policies and systems.

Responsibilities:

Participating in designing and maintaining highly reliable server-side applications, which may include the Microsoft environment, enterprise applications, custom-built applications, data backup systems, and cloud services.
Providing advanced knowledge of application systems software/hardware technology, advising other IS teams on best practices, and participating in projects.
Maintaining the enterprise application portfolio and inventory, executing tasks related to server-side activities, and actively managing application and server software.
Analyzing business needs and recommending solutions while configuring and customizing application systems.
Defining and reviewing reports on applications performance, documenting application designs and operations, monitoring data transmissions, and configuring user account access to applications.
Proposing standards for application selection and deployment, developing support policies, managing application/database security policies and systems, and assisting with disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives.
Establishing effective relationships with external partners and vendors, conducting product and vendor research, and maintaining service contracts and licensing.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Data protection solutions
Troubleshooting performance issues and root causes
Monitoring systems and best practices
Principles of application design and best practices
Advanced ability to author and maintain system documentation

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in delivering application systems solutions
Experience in enterprise applications integration, data integration strategy best practices, claims processing technologies, health record technologies, document management, collaboration platforms, scripting languages, compute environments, Microsoft server operating systems, and cloud technologies
Preferred mid-level Microsoft certifications
Additional experience in related technology support and operational positions
