Role Summary
PACE of Southwest Michigan is looking for its next Executive Director to lead the organization into the future.

Our next Executive Director will have the proven ability to build a thriving team-based organizational culture, ensure exceptional participant care, and drive the organization's overall health.

PACE's mission is to provide the utmost care for its participants.

Who is PACE of Southwest Michigan?


PACE (Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) of Southwest Michigan is a 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to uniquely bridge health and social supports required to help preserve the independence and dignity of our participants so that they can remain in their own homes for as long as possible.

The unique PACE model of care is centered around the belief that it is better for the well-being of seniors with chronic care needs to be served in their homes and their community whenever possible.


PACE was born via a partnership formed by 3 local non-profit organizations; Spectrum Health Lakeland (now Corewell), Region IV Area Agency on Aging, and Caring Circle.

Since PACE's inception, the organization has expanded its team to over 90 professionals and currently serves over 250 participants and their families throughout Southwest Michigan.

Requirements:


Business Acumen

  • A strong understanding of the regulatory, financial, and operational aspects of PACE programs, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, enrollment, utilization, risk adjustment, Capitative Payment Arrangements, and compliance.
  • Ensures the organization's compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards. Promotes integrity and transparency while supporting a culture of compliance and quality assurance.
  • Manages and directs the organization toward its primary goals and objectives.
  • Identify and use relevant data across the organization, extracting actionable insights, driving strategic discussions, planning, and action while ensuring efficient and effective resource utilization.
  • Evaluates the organization's performance and impact, and reports on the outcomes and challenges to the board of directors and other relevant parties.
  • Identifies and secures new sources of funding and revenue to support the organization's growth and sustainability.

Strategic Vision and Innovation

  • Formulates and articulates a clear, strategic vision for the organization that addresses emerging trends in health care, aging, disability, and caregiving.
  • Crafts strategic initiatives to position the organization for future challenges with a focus on thriving, not just surviving.
  • Aligns daily operations with short
- and long-term goals.

  • Excels in refining organizational processes to eliminate inefficiencies, enhance productivity, and optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensures operations are agile and responsive to internal and external customer needs, maintains high standards for service and care delivery while focusing on costcontrol.
  • Embraces and drives innovative practices to meet evolving needs of internal and external customers, adapting to changes in healthcare regulations, technology, and participant needs.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Inspires, delegates, and builds highperforming, collaborative teams.
  • Sets a strategic direction and leads a team of senior leaders to accomplish the organization's key goals and objectives.
