Tasks and Process

As an industrial electrician for operational technology, you will work with mechanical components and electrical equipment. Your tasks will include laying and connecting cables and connections. You will set up automated systems by programming and configuring them, and then test them for completion. In addition, you will be responsible for regular maintenance and repairs.

As an expert in production systems and power supply, you will take care of the entire electrical system by expanding and maintaining it. For a new production hall, for example, you will handle the wiring, ideally without any "cable clutter". Therefore, you will develop a sophisticated system for the wiring in advance. You will also plan the necessary components and tools for the electrical system based on technical documents. From the entire system to individual switches, you will design the hall and install safety devices to prevent damage. These safety devices monitor the systems and are therefore essential. When a new system is put into operation, you will provide professional training to future users on how to operate it.

After completing your apprenticeship, you will deepen your knowledge and skills in various departments at ZF.
