Our therapeutic day center "Mittelpunkt" is a semi-residential facility for educational assistance according to §27, 32 and 35a SGB VIII with 10 places for children with social and emotional difficulties.

To support our team, we are currently looking for a pedagogical specialist for 20 hours per week. The position can be combined with a job in outpatient youth welfare.

You bring with you:

  • A completed education in the field of social pedagogy
  • Enjoyment in working with children and adolescents
  • Ideally experience in dealing with socially and emotionally challenging children
  • Openness and teamwork skills
  • Empathy and solution-oriented approach
  • Resilience and professional handling of closeness and distance

Your tasks:

  • Participation in group service and structuring of daily group activities
  • Primary caregiver for two to three children
  • Promotion of social and emotional development of children
  • Homework assistance
  • Implementation of diverse leisure activities and projects
  • Intensive collaboration with parents, school and cooperation partners
  • Participation in care planning meetings with the youth welfare office
