Reports To:
Vice President, Sales and Marketing


The purpose of this position is to be a key member of the BAPKO Metal Sales and Preconstruction Team, who is responsible for driving new business growth and revenue for the company.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifying New Opportunities
a. Taking an active approach to identify potential new clients and projects.

b. Conducting market research to uncover new opportunities.

c. Building relationships with prospects through networking events and meetings.

d. Generating qualified leads through cold calls, referrals, and other outreach methods.

  • Business Development and Sales
a. Working with the Estimating Manager and Estimators to accurately and thoroughly complete bids and managing the bid process.

b. Coordinating the proposal process and developing compelling proposals tailored to client needs.

c. Convincing prospects to select the company for projects.

d. Working with VP of Sales and Marketing in setting sales targets and forecasting revenue pipelines.

  • Client and Partner Management
a. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry influencers.

b. Managing the customer relationship process and tracking all activities in a CRM system.

c. Representing the company professionally at events and meetings.

  • Marketing Support
a. Collaborating with marketing to develop messaging, collateral, and advertising content.

b. Implementing marketing strategies to target potential customers in key markets.

  • The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and relationshipbuilding skills. Strong analytical abilities for market research, and a proven track record in sales/business development within the construction industry are essential.

Preferred Education, Experience and Other Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
  • 510 years related experience working in the construction industry in a business development, marketing, or sales role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial projects like healthcare and transportation facilities, sporting and entertainment venues, highrise and mixeduse units, institutional structures, corporate offices, and tenant improvements.
  • The ability to interpret drawings and specifications, extract information, and to present in an organized, accurate format.
  • Excellent customer service, listening and communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Bluebeam.

Classifications

  • Full time.
  • Exempt.
  • Based out of the Orange County office headquarters and covering the Southern California territory (from Santa Barbara to the USA/Mexico border).

Pay:
$120, $150,000.00 per year
