Position Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring the proper presentation of foods before they leave the kitchen. Also responsible for the kitchen area in the absence of Managers. Assists and supports kitchen and restaurant staff as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.
Keeps work area clean and organized.
Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or department head
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to grasp, carry and or lift supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to perform duties in a confined work space, standing for long periods of time and in extreme temperatures.
Must have a full use of senses of hearing, taste, smell, touch and sight in order to perform the essential functions of this position.

Assimilate into The Sun Hill culture through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements and Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety.
It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.
Must present at time of hire a valid CA Food Handlers Certificate and a CA Responsible Beverage Server number with ABC.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION
Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma required. Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Two or more years of Restaurant experience required. Prior hotel, restaurant cooking, and supervisory experience preferred.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES
CA Food Handlers Certificate
CA ABC Responsible Beverage Server
GROOMING/UNIFORMS
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process.
OTHER
Additional language ability is strongly preferred.
NOTICE:
The hospitality business functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In Addition, this is hospitality business and a hospitality service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
