    Overview:
    This role is based in Midway, St. Paul. As an Employee Occupational Health Nurse Advisor on-call, your main duty is to handle calls from health care workers at Mhealth Fairview related to Blood and Body fluid exposures and communicapable disease exposures. You will use top-notch customer service skills and clinical knowledge to guide or offer the right assistance. The schedule may include being on call off-site during weekdays and weekends. This is a casual position, covering evening and/or night shifts as required. Benefits are not included in this role. Department Hours of Operation: Monday - Thursday: 10:00pm - 6:00am, Friday: 10:00pm – 8:00am, Saturday: 4:00pm – 8:00am, Sunday: 4:00pm – 6:00am.

    Job Expectations:

    - Independently Triage Phone Calls Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in triaging callers properly such that all callers receive a timely and appropriate response.

    Completes timely documentation and identified outcomes Assess employee, manager and organization needs: Involves employee, manager, and representatives of other disciplines as appropriate in gathering data - Determines if health/wellness goals impact or are impacted by laws, regulations, standards of practice, community best practices - Responds appropriately to emergent situations Develops an individualized plan of care to achieve desired outcomes: Develops a care plan consistent with medical standards based on organization and customer needs - Determines intervention and or recommendations based on relevant needs - Identifies and utilizes appropriate internal and external resources Implements nursing interventions Assists the employee and manager with work-related issues - Coordinates appropriate care, treatment, and follow-up of work-related health considerations based on the knowledge of specific regulations, industry practices, work tasks, and work environments - Documents interventions Evaluates the plan of care Systematically and continuously evaluates employee response to interventions - Modifies the intervention based on the employee's response - Involves the manager, representatives of other disciplines, and external resources as appropriate.

    Qualifications:

    Required Education:
    Associates degree – two-year college nursing degree
    Required Experience: 2 years' experience in occupational health nursing or in an area of nursing requiring independent nursing skills, i.e., college health/school nursing, ER nursing, etc.

    Required License/Certification/Registration Current MN RN licensure Preferred Education:
    BSN or BAN degree – 4-year college nursing degree

    Preferred Experience: More than two years in occupational health nursing Preferred License/Certification/Registration: COHN-S or COHN
