- Drive the successful development of new products and enhance existing products by providing recommendations on product design, pricing, underwriting, agency management, distribution, and claims processes.
- Analyze premium rates, loss experience, and retention to ensure overall goals for production and underwriting profitability are met.
- Develop profit and growth strategies in collaboration with marketing, translating business ideas and market opportunities into new product concepts by researching competitors and market trends.
- Coordinate key profit metrics, working closely with departments like IT to implement rate revisions, new products, and other initiatives.
- Lead by setting expectations, monitoring results, and providing coaching and guidance to employees, ensuring adherence to systems and policies.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity in case of emergencies.

The Director - National Auto Product at COUNTRY Financial is responsible for driving product premium volume growth and profitability results within assigned state(s) or line(s) of business. The geographical area assigned depends on population size and market/regulation characteristics. In this role, you will manage relationships across all aspects of the assigned product through collaboration with various departments such as Claims, Underwriting, Sales/Marketing, Customer Service, and external contacts (agents, regulators, industry groups). You will develop action plans and strategic directions for functional areas, ensuring alignment with product managers to facilitate successful development of the product line. Additionally, you will ensure regulatory compliance, researching and staying informed about state and federal statutes, as well as new legislation.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based at our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.
