Hi-Rise Bread Co. is hiring Counter Staff Counter Staff are responsible for successfully facilitating all aspects of the customer experience. They work 3-5 shifts per week hours) while maintaining standards for customer service, accuracy, speed, cleanliness, teamwork, and general work ethic.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
CUSTOMER INTERFACE + ORDER MANAGEMENT

Exhibit exemplary customer service in person and over the phone from order placement through pickup
Fluency with our menus and pointofsale system to allow for smooth and efficient transactions
Knowledge across all product categories to sufficiently answer customer questions, supported by a thoughtful personal experience with products
Ability to work as a shift's primary barista (training provided)

OPENING, CLOSING + SIDE WORK

Ability to perform both preopening and postclosing tasks
Setup and breakdown of product displays, outdoor dining equipment, etc.
Cleaning, restocking, and side work

FARMERS' MARKETS (May-November)

Ability to perform all aspects of a farmers' market shift, including market packing and preparation, market setup, customer interface, order processing, and market breakdown

REQUIREMENTS:

Able to work at least three shifts per week, with morning, evening, and weekend availability.
Strong communication and guest service skills
Passion for excellent hospitality
Friendly, outgoing personality
Some experience in a food service environment, preferable in a comparable role.

Established in 1996, Hi-Rise Bread is a family-owned neighborhood bakery and café that offers a wide variety of house-made breads, pastries, confections, beverages, sandwiches, soups, dinners, and wine + spirits.

During the summer and fall, Hi-Rise has a presence in many farmers markets throughout Cambridge, Somerville, Boston, and surrounding towns.
