Administrative Coordinator

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for all scheduling activities within the Department of Surgery. This includes creation of all physician and Advanced Practice Provider schedules within the QGenda scheduling system. This individual will play an integral role in the oversight of clinical schedules within the department, including surgical schedules.

The Master Scheduler will act as administrative support to the Department Chair and Practice Administrator to help create and facilitate scheduling policies and procedures within the Department and ensure that the Department's scheduling is seamless.


Job Description:


  • Work with Scheduling Committee Chair to create Master Schedule on Qgenda
  • Identify potential changes to the schedule to maximize OR time
  • Monitor vacancies in schedules and identify opportunities to increase outreach at offsites
  • Oversee processes to reduce scheduling errors
  • Work with Practice Coordinators and Practice Managers to publish schedules develop policies and procedures and reporting lines for schedule creation, changes and publication

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • Preferred Abilities, Knowledge and Skills
  • Prior experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision making.
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to handle high workload volume with many variables, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal), demonstrating the ability to work effectively and efficiently with a diverse population.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a team unit.

Salary Range:
$19.78/hr - $31.65/hr
