    Summary

    This notice is to inform interested applicants about potential job openings. Applications are not accepted through this notice.     This opportunity is available to:

    Duties
    • Conduct motorized or walking patrols of the installation.
    • Determine the shortest and safest routes to destinations.
    • Perform law enforcement duties at fixed posts such as entry and exit gates.
    • Set up and conduct checkpoint/roadblocks at various locations.
    • Use force when necessary to restrain violators.
    • Issue citations for violations of laws and regulations.
    • Inspect posts daily and take corrective action as needed.
    • Respond to situations using the minimum force required.
    • Detain individuals who violate rules and regulations.
    • Document incidents involving victims, vehicles, and responsibilities.
    • Investigate unusual or suspicious circumstances to prevent crime.
    • Conduct police patrols via various means.
    • Evaluate situations to respond effectively.
    • Complete patrol logs or building check sheets.
    Requirements
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must meet federal employment suitability criteria. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Must be 18 years old.
    • Rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and 24-hour recall may be required. Must pass drug testing.
    • Must pass background checks and obtain necessary clearances.
    • Physical fitness and training certifications required.
    • Must maintain height, weight standards, and appearance.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing.
    • Must meet firearm certification requirements. Must maintain firearm proficiency.
    • Must be a mission essential position and ensure operational continuity.
    • Must maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and emergency vehicle operator's license.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearances.
    Qualifications

    To qualify, your resume must demonstrate relevant experience and/or education for the specific position.

    GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 level in maintaining order, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and presenting evidence in court.

    GS-06: One year of experience equivalent to GS-05 level in responding to police calls, enforcing laws, conducting searches, providing first aid, and documenting incidents.

    GS-05: One year of experience equivalent to GS-04 level in law enforcement and security assignments.

    GS-04: Six months of general experience and six months of specialized experience in maintaining order and protecting property.

    Educational requirements depend on the position level.

    Additional Information

    Position under the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Incentives may be offered to eligible selectees. More vacancies may be filled through this notice. Continuation of employment has specific equipment and training requirements.
