Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a
Mission Assurance Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in
Palmdale, CA.

Telecommute/remote is not an option for this position. This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80, Monday-Friday. The manager may be required to work second shift and weekends as needed throughout the year.

The Manager Mission Assurance 3 will have the responsibility of leading a group of managers and the technical and professional staff that reports to them in a high-paced environment, which will include the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing process improvements and increasing project efficiencies.
Creating a method of quality standardization across cost centers and research & development contracts
Responsible for the project performance planning, risk management, technical quality, cost, schedule, and factory accountability oversight for Mission Assurance statements of work.
Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
Collaborates with engineering, test, and manufacturing functions to ensure adherence to design processes and quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is aligned with requirements.
Act with agility to business needs and interact in collaborative way to empower diverse, cross functional teams, including both internal and external members to achieve positive business results, including operating decisions, scheduling requirements, and contractual clarification.

Basic Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor's degree AND 9 years of professional/military experience in in quality engineering, program management, hardware/software engineering, system test, and/or manufacturing. (7+ years of experience with a master's degree)
Minimum of 5 years management experience, with strong people leadership skills.
Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required) as well as the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance and Program Special Access.
Experience with CAM/Earned Value
Experience in staffing.
