    Our client is an innovative, growing, and trusted Engineering Consulting Firm who has been providing clients with award winning projects and inspired solutions since 1922.

    We are currently seeking a proven professional to work on various projects within our Transportation Market.

    The Senior Traffic Engineer will have demonstrated leadership and technical experience in Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and municipal projects.

    Our traffic engineers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of project types, and for a variety of clients.

    Projects will include safety planning and design, roundabouts, corridor studies and plans, design of traffic signals and of advanced ITS systems, and many others.

    This position offers hands-on training in the hot field intelligent transportation systems and smart cities infrastructure.
    This position will be based in either our Cincinnati or Columbus office. Desired Skills and Experience7+ years' experience as a Traffic EngineerBachelor Degree in Civil Engineering, requiredOhio PE License, required. P.T.O.E. preferred.
    Road Safety Professional is a plus.

    MicroStation/Geopak/OpenRoads and/or AutoCad/Civil 3DOther design-related software such as SignCad and AutoTurnHCS, Synchro/Simtraffic, VISSIM, TransModeler, SIDRA, RodelTravel demand modeling is a plusBasic or advanced GIS capabilities desired.

    Knowledge of MUTCD policies and procedures.
    Must have strong communication skills and be team-oriented.

    Tasks and ResponsibilitiesProvide traffic engineering design for a variety of LPA, DOT and private clientsProduce and review traffic impact studies, safety studies, and traffic forecastingEstablishes guidelines for cost estimates.

    Reviews and approves estimates prepared by others.
    May function as Project Manager - demonstrating strong team, communication, and organization abilities.
    Frequently functions as a subject matter expert.
    Assure project understanding, approach, and technology fully addresses client, regulatory, and best practices technical issues.
    Independently develop projects. May be assigned as subject matter expert.
