- Drive the development and continuous refinement of test automation tools and services, identifying and implementing automation solutions that significantly reduce manual testing efforts, enhance efficiency, and expand test coverage.
- Seamlessly integrate quality practices into agile methodologies, ensuring that testing and quality assurance are intrinsic parts of the development lifecycle.
- Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs, utilizing data to drive decisions and consistently elevate product quality.
- Provide expert advice on tools and strategies to enhance our testing capabilities, incorporating ongoing feedback and insights to perpetually refine our processes.
- Champion the notion of testing as a shared responsibility across all teams, cultivating a collaborative environment where quality assurance is a universal priority.
- Oversee the quality strategy for our data platform, ensuring rigorous testing and reliability that align with broader organizational goals.
- Showcase proficiency in embedding test automation into build and release pipelines, enhancing deployment processes, and maintaining impeccable quality standards.
- Utilize advanced logging and monitoring tools, like Datadog, to oversee product health and proactively address potential issues before they impact customers.
- 10+ years of experience in management and leadership roles within Engineering and Quality Engineering organizations.
- 5+ years in a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role or similar.
- 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience in test automation within a software engineering environment.
- Extensive experience supporting test automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployments in cloud environments.
- In-depth experience with Agile methodologies, with a particular focus on integrating quality practices within Agile frameworks to enhance product quality and ensure rapid delivery cycles.
- Strong technical expertise in test automation frameworks and scripting with programming languages such as Typescript, Python, Ruby, etc.
- A deep understanding of various testing tactics and tools, coupled with a proactive approach to adopting new solutions to meet evolving challenges.
- Proven ability to lead a team through transformative changes in testing methodologies, particularly with a "shift left" testing approach.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Director of Quality Assurance Engineering, you will helm the strategic development and execution of a scalable quality assurance strategy that meets the expanding needs of our dynamic organization. This critical role entails leading the advancement of testing tools and services, championing sophisticated testing methodologies, and ensuring that quality assurance processes are intricately woven into every phase of the development lifecycle. Your leadership will be essential in elevating our testing capabilities and ensuring the reliability and excellence of our products.
