    Position OverviewAs one of GreenLight Fund's strategic national functions and with a growing number of sites across GreenLight's network, the Marketing & Communications team is looking to add a manager level marketing and communications professional to the team.

    The Marketing & Communications Manager (Manager) will report to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications (VP) and provide communications support to GreenLight site teams, lead initiatives and collaborate on network-wide communications opportunities to strengthen awareness and grow GreenLight's brand as a national network and in each of our local sites.

    ResponsibilitiesTrain, Support and Advise GreenLight Site TeamsSupport approximately half of the site teams to effectively utilize communication vehicles, including Mailchimp, social media, Canva, blog and website pages, to engage with stakeholders and grow local awareness.

    Develop, train on and update platforms, tools and templates.

    Support site teams to effectively communicate at least quarterly through Mailchimp, build their lists, strategically use analytics and other advanced features.

    Proactively work with teams to maintain their website site-specific pages and generate new content on a regular basis (blog, stories).Support site teams in effectively leveraging social media to build awareness of GreenLight and our portfolio organizations locally.

    Maintain and develop new communications templates, best practices, example communications and other tools to support site teams as they build their local brand.

    Provide site teams with event planning support in collaboration with the Development & Expansion team including guidance on outreach, materials, messaging and alignment with GreenLight's brand.

    Support site teams when they announce new portfolio organizations to maximize brand development and portfolio organization visibility.
    Support site teams with leveraging available analytics to improve their local communication.

    Conduct training sessions with new site staff on communications platforms where you are the designated lead, utilize the Learning Management System and provide guidance on tools and resources available.

    Serve as a hands-on resource to site teams as needed during transitions when an associate or coordinator is not in place.

    Collaborate with other functional area teams where there is synergy in supporting sites and national initiatives.

    National CommunicationsLeverage website, Mailchimp and social media analytics tools to learn what is effective, make recommendations and apply learning to improve reach and engagement with stakeholders.

    Provide presentation support (PowerPoint and Google Slides) for national, expansion and site presentations.
    Develop and maintain team workplan.
    Track site activities and schedule regular check-ins with sites.
    Support announcements by leveraging MuckRack to identify reporters and media opportunities.
    Collaborate with team on national strategic communications initiatives including national events.
    Provide input to national stakeholder communication.

    Be the lead resource on a number of platform and skills areas including website, analytics, video and events and provide support to MarCom team as they support other sites in these areas.

    Content Development, Re-purpose and EditingBuild and maintain an editorial/content calendar in collaboration with MarCom team to plan and track sharing of content and maximize use of developed content.

    Contribute site-related content (for sites assigned) to national social media posts.
    Collaborate with MarCom and site teams to develop blog posts and other content.
    Create and execute plans to re-purpose content.
    Leverage, edit and re-purpose video content.
    Manage YouTube channel.

    QualificationsThe ideal candidate for this role has hands-on communications experience, is energized by a fast-paced growing organization, enjoys working on all aspects of communications and thrives in supporting teams in achieving their goals.

    This person will have strong writing, analytic and project management skills, be creative, have strong attention to detail and demonstrate a commitment and passion for equity.

    Experience with video, WordPress, SEO and event planning a plus.

    Experience planning and managing events.
    Public relations experience and familiarity with working with the media.

    Experience with website content management system and SEO (Wordpress or similar).Creative with an ability to apply ideas that elevate materials and achieve goals.

    Experience developing compelling visuals.
    Proficiency with visual tools (e.g. Powerpoint, Mailchimp, Canva) along with an eye towards design and layout.
    Experience using graphic design and video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Suite - Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier Rush).Experience training others on technology platforms.4-5+ years of experience with increasing levels of experience in communications or like field.
    LocationApplicants must reside within a GreenLight registered state with relative proximity to a current or future GreenLight site.


    These include:
    California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Applicants who do not meet location requirements will not be considered.
    Compensation & BenefitsThis is a full-time, exempt position. The salary for this position is $80,000.
