Job Description3rd Shift - Maintenance $20/hr - Sparta, MI
Responsibilities:

Maintenance employees are responsible for general repairs to any and all machines and forklifts.
Employees are also responsible for general repairs and upkeep to all buildings including but not limited to greasing, oiling, filter changes, and minor electrical work.
Building upkeep includes but is not limited to replacing fixtures, cleaning clogged drains, caulking, sealing, insulating etc.
Major machine repairs include but not limited to welding, part fabrication, machining, and part replacement or repair.
Maintenance employees are responsible for not only daily upkeep and repairs but also to keep to a maintenance control schedule that regulates and promotes preventative maintenance.

Requirements:

Must be able to climb ladders and crawl under, over, and around any and all machines to perform all and any repairs needed.
Must be able to lift at least 50#.
Must be mechanically skilled and inclined with the ability to repair anything necessary to keep Handy Wacks running.
Must have the ability to operate forklifts, waxers, scissor lifts, Lawson cutters, sheeters, small guillotine cutters, case sealers, hot melts, and shrink wrap machines.
In General maintenance employees must possess the ability to operate drill presses, lathes, mills, and welders (gas and wire), and have the ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to any and all machines to keep them running and in safe working condition for the operators. They must have the ability to keep the buildings clean, safe, and in good operating condition. They must have the ability to operate any and all machines in the production area to assure proper operation and to teach proper operation and proper repairs to the Utility employees on all 3 shifts.

In this role, you are responsible for repairs and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines/equipment.
