Construction Worker - Brooklyn, United States - Olympic Property Management

Description

We are looking to hire a construction worker to renovate apartments in a portfolio of apartment biuildings located in Brooklyn, NY.

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction materials
• Plaster and Paint apartments
• Tile work
• Minor plumbing and electrical Work
• Installing apartment doors and hardware
• Renovating apartment ktichen cabinets and bathroom vanities
• Framing using wood or steel
• Scrapoing and sanding doors, moldings and frames
• Repair windows
• Install Kitchen appliances
• Cleaning of apartments upon completion of work
• Load and unload materials and equipment
• Operate hand and power tools as directed
• Assist with other general construction tasks
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects on time and within budget

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Drivers license and has a car
• Proven experience as a Construction Laborer or similar role
• Knowledge of basic construction techniques and tools
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints is a plus
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
• Excellent handeye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills on the job

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
