Job Description - Night Transportation Associate
The Night Transportation Associate is responsible for communicating door assignments between warehouse staff and night yard personnel. This position requires clear and concise communication to maintain the seamless of loading trucks throughout the night shift.

The Night Transportation Associate must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty listed below. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Continuously monitor warehouse operations and night yard activity.
Clearly communicate door assignments to warehouse staff as trucks arrive.
Inform night yard staff when trucks are finished loading for efficient door closure.
Following proper safety protocols, securely close truck doors once loading is complete.
Conduct a visual inspection of the closed door to ensure a safe departure for drivers.
Report any safety concerns or damaged equipment to the transportation or night operation supervisor.
Maintain accurate logs of truck arrivals, departures, and door assignments.
Work collaboratively with both warehouse and night yard staff to minimize loading times.
Be proactive in identifying and resolving any potential delays in the night shift
Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
Assist with maintaining and updating quality control procedures.
Notify management about actual or potential food safety issues.
Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor and Operations Management.
Understand and comply with all applicable company policies, safety policies and food safety principles.
Comply with all applicable State/Federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e. OSHA, HACCP, etc).
Attend all required company meetings.

Qualifications

Education/Training
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Prior experience in a quality control role, food service, or a related field is a plus.
Strong understanding of safe food handling practices.
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of digital photography preferred.
Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those required of an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, balance, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit.
Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move between 41 and 50 pounds, and seldom lift and/or move 51 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
Frequently bend and twist while operating a pallet jack or other powered industrial equipment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
This is a fulltime position. Must be able to work the assigned schedule and overtime as needed. Work hours may vary, or change based on departmental requirements.
Must be able to use, or learn to use, all equipment and tools used to perform the job.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must successfully pass a controlled substance screening test.
Must adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fastpaced environment.
Develop a working knowledge of the product.

Hourly Pay:

- $18/hr.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Night Transportation Associate will constantly work near fast-moving powered industrial equipment and experience exposure to vibration and moderate to high noise levels.

The work environment includes congested and high traffic areas, slippery floors, working alongside forklifts, single pallet jacks, electric walk behind jacks and hand carts.

Walking and working on concrete flooring. Duties will require frequently working in varying climates. Temperatures range from below zero in the freezers to 95F degrees or above outdoors.
