    We're looking for someone to join our team as a Dental Referral Coordinator who:


    Under the direction of the Dental District Administrator, the Dental Referral Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, processing, and scheduling specialty dental referrals for various specialty dental services for patients as requested by the dentist.

    The Dental Referral Coordinator will also manage phone calls, confirm appointments, and schedule patients for pending treatment.


    As an integral member of the patient's dental home, the Dental Referral Coordinator will collaborate with the Dental Practice Managers and other patient care support staff to ensure patients receive timely and efficient services in alignment with Clinica Sierra Vista guidelines.


    Essential Functions:

    • Schedule, problem solve, communicate, and coordinate referral appointments with outside specialists.
    • Utilizes third-party payer/insurance portals; understands insurance providers, their portals, and their expectations for authorization approvals.
    • Track and enter all referral requests in the Referral Tracking System or EMR on a daily basis.
    • Coordinate with the HIM staff to track the status of all provider reports on patients referred to outside clinics and Specialty Providers and follow up for reports/records not received on referred patients.

    You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

    • Graduation from High School or equivalent GED.
    • Must have dental knowledge or experience working in a dental office.
    • Two (2) to three (3) years dental front or back-office experience in a community healthcare preferred but not required.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
    • Previous experience with specialty referrals in community health desired.
    • Intermediate computer skills required.
    • Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista's employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for subsequent approval.
