Decarbonization Officer (m/f/d)

For over 30 years, we have been driving the development of innovative, intelligent solutions for energy supply. In close contact with our customers and partners, we plan, implement and operate efficient, customized plants and networks.

For our team, we are looking for a Decarbonization Officer (m/f/d) Your tasks include:


  • Contributing to a resilient, diverse power plant park in the context of the climateneutral transformation of heat generation by 2045, market design and funding schemes
  • Developing inventory and potential analyses of the BTB power plant park for future heat supply through innovative technologies, taking into account energy industry and energy law framework conditions
  • Establishing a standardized workflow (+ subsequent collaboration) for the creation of project outlines and eligible transformation plans according to BEW for all BTB assets
  • Projectspecific acquisition of funding within the scope of decarbonization, both on the network and power plant side
  • Supporting the creation of decision templates for BTB management or other stakeholders (e.g. E.ON SE)
  • Contributing to the mediumterm planning of decarbonization projects
  • Continuously presenting work results, including documentation
  • Ensuring the agreed (partial) project steps and goals
  • Collaborating with the individual specialist departments of BTB and E.

ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions What we expect:

  • Completed university degree (diploma/master) in process and energy engineering, mechanical engineering, environmental engineering, industrial engineering or a similar field
  • Profound knowledge
