Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for installation and service of systems and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Use a variety of tools, blueprints, engineering specifications, notebook PCs, to install, diagnose, repair, and program Security & Low Voltage equipment.
  • Plan and prepare for onsite installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, staging materials and coordinating onsite work, as necessary.
  • Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance programs, equipment inspection and functionality checks, identifying wear, maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift.
  • Terminate network cables (Cat5, Cat 6/Cat6A, optical fiber, etc.)
  • Setup and terminate network racks, trays, and associated equipment in technology rooms.
  • Document work completion and project status through paperwork and devices such as notebooks, IPads, on each job.
  • Creation of schedules, checklists/punch lists throughout construction project and closeout process.
  • Represent company by serving as a direct customer contact.
  • Support SLV Technicians by providing field support.
  • Utilize project plans and documentation to prioritize and schedule work.
  • Determine parts to order for repairs.
  • Work as part of a team or team lead.

Qualifications:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Excellent customer service and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Desire to learn and grow in a fast moving, ever changing technical field.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Must pass background and drug screen tests.
  • Able to travel locally and remotely as required.
  • Able to work afterhours or on shifts.
  • Climb ladders.
  • Carry items up to 75 pounds.

Education and/or Experience Required:


  • High school diploma or equivalent, trade schools or certificates.
  • 02+ years installing SLV solutions and/or electrical systems preferred.
  • Electronics training from a Technical School or Military preferred.
  • Recognized industry certification from IT programs, BICSI, Security, AV, or any other recognized program preferred.
