Responsibilities:
- Responsible for installation and service of systems and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Use a variety of tools, blueprints, engineering specifications, notebook PCs, to install, diagnose, repair, and program Security & Low Voltage equipment.
- Plan and prepare for onsite installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, staging materials and coordinating onsite work, as necessary.
- Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance programs, equipment inspection and functionality checks, identifying wear, maladjustment, miscalibration, malfunction, and drift.
- Terminate network cables (Cat5, Cat 6/Cat6A, optical fiber, etc.)
- Setup and terminate network racks, trays, and associated equipment in technology rooms.
- Document work completion and project status through paperwork and devices such as notebooks, IPads, on each job.
- Creation of schedules, checklists/punch lists throughout construction project and closeout process.
- Represent company by serving as a direct customer contact.
- Support SLV Technicians by providing field support.
- Utilize project plans and documentation to prioritize and schedule work.
- Determine parts to order for repairs.
- Work as part of a team or team lead.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Professional appearance.
- Strong technical and mathematical aptitude.
- Excellent customer service and problemsolving skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Desire to learn and grow in a fast moving, ever changing technical field.
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Must pass background and drug screen tests.
- Able to travel locally and remotely as required.
- Able to work afterhours or on shifts.
- Climb ladders.
- Carry items up to 75 pounds.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent, trade schools or certificates.
- 02+ years installing SLV solutions and/or electrical systems preferred.
- Electronics training from a Technical School or Military preferred.
- Recognized industry certification from IT programs, BICSI, Security, AV, or any other recognized program preferred.
