    Medical Assistants play a crucial role in our cancer center clinics by ensuring smooth clinic operations, assisting with various medical procedures, maintaining a sanitary environment, and providing support to the healthcare team. This is a full-time position with scheduled shifts on weekdays, offering a fulfilling career path in the healthcare industry.

    POSITION SUMMARY
    This role involves assisting clinicians and nursing staff in administering medical care and ensuring exemplary patient experiences through specialized skills and knowledge.

    CORE FUNCTIONS
    - Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, record vital signs, and communicate any changes in the patient's condition to clinicians.
    - Assist providers in various medical procedures, conduct diagnostic tests, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
    - Manage patient care activities such as pre-certifications, referrals, and medication administration while maintaining accurate medical records.
    - Maintain a clean and organized medical environment, manage equipment, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
    - Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, exhibit a service-oriented approach, and contribute to the team's success.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    - High school diploma or equivalent
    - Completion of a state-approved medical assistant training program
    - Active Medical Assistant Certification
    - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    - Proficiency in medical software and strong interpersonal skills
    - Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    - Previous experience in office medical procedures and insurance operations
    - Familiarity with EMR and scheduling software
    - Additional related education or experience
