Jacqueline Somoza

I have 7 years experience in the medical field total; Six years as Registered Respiratory Therapist and a year as a Registered Emergency Nurse. I have provided patient care to a variety of patients, I am familiar with the overall operation, of not only the Emergency Department but every other unit as a Respiratory Therapist. 

My 7-year experience in the medical field has allowed me to practice and master my skills in many areas clinically and professionally. My commitment to my patients to improve lives has been evident in my interactions and clinical outcomes. I have established long term relationships with several colleagues, coworkers, patients, and physicians by being positive and outgoing. I have been able to connect with multiple personality types. In my current position of a nurse in the Emergency Department, I have been able to strengthen communication and interpersonal skills. It is very important for me to be self-motivated and able to problem solve to come up with improved processes that allow for better patient outcomes. My flexibility in being able to learn and adapt quickly in the ED has immensely increased my knowledge base and will also be beneficial in continuing to grow my skills as a nurse.
