    Description

    Amentum is actively seeking Senior Test Engineers (TE) with a background in Navy shipboard and/or submarine systems maintenance and/or design to help maintain former Navy and Coast Guard ships.

    This role will be hybrid (combined remote and on-site).


    100-140k (salary rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data).

    Mentor and train junior personnel.
    Act as senior advisor to Lead Engineer for engineering related matters.

    Evaluate information regarding integrated test plans, integrated test schedules and other test related documentation from the NSA project manager or other NSA representative.

    Verify compliance with systems engineering principles, integration approaches, and accepted Department of the Navy test program fundamentals.
    Support project manager to ensure test plans comply with all requirements of NSI


    Review and evaluate work specifications as requested by the NSA project manager based on technical risk and the quality management plan for the assigned availability.

    Coordinate with the NSA project manager to verify the test plan accurately reflects the availability work package and the integrated production schedule.


    Prepare, schedule and lead key event and availability complete certification briefs to the SWRMC CHENG for assigned ships to include pre briefs within two weeks of scheduled dates and the formal certification brief.

    Prepare all required products including certification PowerPoint, certification memos, and other supporting documents.
    Work with the assigned PSE on the key event technical risk assessment.
    Review schedule and testing information from non-LMA, to include Ship's Force, Project Sups, and AIT.

    In addition, the contractor must:
    Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or 8 years of technical experience as equivalent.

    5 years of working experience in ship maintenance.
    Ability to work onsite and remote.
    Ability to obtain a Secret US government clearance


    Note:
    US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
    Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25%). Ability to obtain a United States Passport.
