Title: Senior HSE Advisor

Location: Baltimore, MD

Type: Contract (6 months)

Rate: Commensurate with experience

Accountabilities

Support Baltimore Train Control, Rolling Stock and Office.

Support maintenance of the HSE Management System in accordance with the Global Business Management System, ISO 14001 and 45001 specifications, company procedures.

Ensure and maintain ongoing compliance with federal, state and local regulatory bodies.

Support Response to customer requests and contractual requirements.

Support program development to comply with regulatory agencies, and the requirements of the Global Business Management System.

Implement Risk Assessment program for hazard identification and control.

Implement HSE strategy and HSE objectives and targets.

Support Management System and regulatory compliance audits. Participate as a team member during these audits.

Support Management of Change program for changes in process, equipment, chemicals, other aspects as needed.

Ensure HSE local communication, participation and consultation with staff and local and regional management.

Support Collaboration with Human Resources and Training Administration to ensure identification of employee HSE training needs. Deliver safety and environmental training programs

or outsource as need

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of qualified project safety experience on rail infrastructure or rail systems construction, integration, and operations projects.
• OSHA 30 Construction or General Industry
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM Field
• Current First Aid and CPR training from a provider recognized by OSHA.
• Communication, presentation and training Development and Delivery Experience
• Experience engaging stakeholders from across all disciplines in the HSE Program
• Experience implementing programs and policies within ISO 14001 and 45001 Certified Organizations
• Experience developing and implementing site safety programs

Desired Skills and Experience

• OSHA 500 or 501
• Master's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health
• Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
• Transit Safety and Security Professional (TSSP)
• Public Transportation Safety Certificate Training Program (PTSCTP) Complexation
• Lead ISO 14001 and 45001 Auditor Certification
• Experience with Human and Organizational Performance Management techniques
