    Job purposeWe are looking for an enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineer Intern to join our growing PHINIA Global Support team This position will support us in Troy, US.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport to create specifications, and designs of equipment for assembly lines for electronics products.

    Support to document manufacturing plans and mechanical drawings.
    Knowledge in Software design to build fixtures and tooling for new manufacturing processes or improve existing ones.
    Provide Global Support to different Electronics Manufacturing Plants, for new products and re-localization.
    Provide onsite support for prototype builds, pre-production launch builds and safe launch phases as required.
    Support to follow activities with suppliers, run samples.


    What we're looking for:


    BASIC REQUIREMENTSMust have a minimum of a HS DiplomaMust currently be enrolled in an Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering degree programPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge in MSD and Lean ManufacturingAble to read Product DrawingsExpertise in specifying and integrating automation control and safety hardware.

    Technical skills include, but are not limited to, application of industry standards for dimensioning and tolerance, tolerance stack-up analysis, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), LEAN manufacturing, pilot line evaluation, etc.
