    Job Description Job Description Russell Tobin has a need for a Physical and Electronic Security Specialist in the northeast This position will involve travel to job sites.

    This is a contract position*This person will need to be located in the northeast United States as they will be traveling to different job sites in the region including Connecticut and Maine.

    up to $68.18/hr.

    Our client is seeking an engineer or technical specialist to perform Physical and/or Electronic Security consulting, planning and design services with a focus on power utilities.

    The role would be responsible for analyzing impacts and exposures based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. You will collaborate and work with individuals from various geographies and disciplines within client.


    Job Responsibilities:


    Transfers knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others knowledge and skill levelsContribute to the career development of others through engagement assignmentsDelegate work duties according to development opportunities and individual needsConsulting and Planning CapabilitiesFacilitate client workshops to foster technical understanding and drive decisionsLead physical and electronic security assessments and gap analysis against best practices and standardsRecommend physical and electronic security improvements aligned with risk management frameworksDevelop security policies, procedures and controls for power utilitiesCollaborate with external and internal customers to analyze and validate the information needs and functional requirementsDesign CapabilitiesLead physical and electronic security system designDevelop and review design documents including drawings and specificationsManage deliverables quality and budgetFamiliarity with the understanding and interpretation building-design blueprints to determine the consistency of contractual security requirementsFollow engineering and customer standards for design documentationProvide technical leadership for site-survey, deployment, installation and configuration and support engineering teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of associates in the organizationStrong conceptual thinking the ability to conceptualize complex business and technical requirements into understandable models and examplesPreferred QualificationsProfessional Certification such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or similar certifications.

    Working knowledge of physical and electronic security standards and others as required by our clientsExperience performing facility walk downs in support of design requirements definition and detailed engineering of design modificationsMinimum of 5 years of experience working critical infrastructure sectors (Water, Power, Federal/DoD, Oil & Gas, Chemical etc.)Bachelors Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or other related fieldProfessional Engineering license in electrical, control systems or related field or ability to obtain PE Licensure within six months.

    MS Word / Excel / Bluebeam for project documentationWillingness to travel (~50%)Required QualificationsAssociates Degree in a technical field relatable to Physical and Electronic SecurityMinimum of 10 years Experience (Physical and Electronic Security)Experienced in physical security design of cameras, access control systems, threat detection and motion detectors in various facility applications.


    Education:


    Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or sciences preferred or any other degree, specialized training, or experience, that makes the individual uniquely qualified to perform the job responsibilities.
