Vaco has partnered with a local client to fill roles for two skilled IT Security Engineers. The mission? Enhance our security measures and minimize risks across the board. We are seeking individuals with solid IT backgrounds, well-versed in security best practices, and knowledgeable in security tools and infrastructure, both in the cloud and on-premises. What you'll be doing:

Proactively maintaining our security stack and meeting security leadership goals
Troubleshooting and resolving security alerts promptly, escalating when necessary
Leading the planning, prioritization, and execution of security projects aligned with the leadership's vision
Following a structured approach to planning, executing, and documenting tasks
Handling security vulnerabilities effectively
Being part of security incident management when required
Establishing and upholding security policies and procedures
Collaborating with various teams to integrate security best practices
Conducting audits, assessing risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
Staying updated on the latest security technologies and threats, advocating for their implementation
Participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical support and emergencies

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years in IT with at least 3 years in an IT Security role
Security+ certification (must be obtained within 3 months of joining) - CISSP or AWS Security certification is a plus
Hands-on expertise in a variety of security tools and platforms, including but not limited to:
- Palo Alto firewall rules
- Palo Alto Global Protect with Prisma
- Imperva cloud WAF
- Rapid7 SIEM and Vulnerability Management
- Qualys inventory and VM
- CrowdStrike
- Darktrace threat detection and email filtering
- Okta and/or Auth0
- DLP
- Browser security
- SSL certificates
- Encryption
- Microsoft GPOs
- Active Directory (Azure AD)
- Endpoint security hardening to standards
- AWS security
- Code vulnerability management
- Web application security
- Experience with compliance standards such as PCI, CCPA, GDPR, and Law 25
