Directional Drill Operator / Locator Summary: Utility contracting is seeking a full-time Horizontal Directional Drill Operator / Locator who is interested in building a long-term career in the HDD industry. This job is on-site throughout the state of Michigan.


Directional Drill Operator / Locator Pay & Perks:

• $ $24.00 per hour based on experience

Directional Drill Operator / Locator Qualifications:

• Must have experience operating HDD or similar equipment
• Clean Insurable driving record
• Must be able to obtain a CDL medical card within 90 days of hire
• Must be willing to work overtime, be oncall, and travel
• Must be teamoriented

Directional Drill Operator / Locator
Duties:

• Operate Drilling equipment
• Locate the bore path for the Drilling equipment
• Preform daily maintenance on all jobsite equipment and vehicles
• Ensure proper bore rig setup, & fluid mixing
• Ensure proper piloting and downhole reaming to maximize daily production
• Able to operate HDD Tracking systems
• Able to locate and pothole necessary utility lines
• Demonstrate good judgment in the field
• Work as a team in tandem with the crew foreman and other crew members
• Perform all duties adhering to company safety procedures and policies

Education:

• High school or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (preferred)
• Driver's License (required)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (preferred)
