Overview:


Affinity Biosensors is seeking a full-time Research Assistant to aid in the development of clinical tests on the LifeScale platform.

Affinity Biosensors develops and commercializes _in vitro_ diagnostic testing devices, with a focus on rapid antimicrobial susceptibility testing.

The Research Assistant reports to the Director of Research and Development and will work with a team of microbiologists, engineers, physicists, and computational biologists to develop the next generation of rapid tests.

The Research Assistant will primarily engage in microbiological laboratory research with occasional travel to conferences.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Developing and executing laboratory studies
  • Maintaining a detailed laboratory notebook
  • Evaluating and abstracting research data
  • Designing and maintaining research equipment
  • Adhering to laboratory best practices
  • Participating in required training

Minimum Qualifications:


  • B.S Degree in Life Sciences
  • Research experience in biological laboratory

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Research experience microbiology laboratory
  • Proficient in aseptic technique, pipetting, serial dilutions, and good laboratory practices
  • Proficient in microorganism culturing techniques

Pay:
$50, $66,000.00 per year
