Dietary Assistant

Full-time Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm

No weekends or holidays
Care Resources is looking to add a full-time Dietary Aide to their team of AMAZING staff. This position would include full-time benefits, PTO, 403b, 403b matching, and the opportunity to work for an amazing company. There is opportunity for growth with this position related to the continued growth of the PACE program.


Job:


Dietary Aide - Performs a variety of duties involved in the receiving, holding and serving of food to the participants, assembling and delivering food carts to Day Centers, stocking pantries, knowledge of diet orders and menus, completing Grocery Shopping Service duties including taking grocery orders and delivering groceries, completing To Go Meals Service duties including filling orders and delivering meals, cleaning responsibilities including cleaning kitchen and completing cleaning and sanitizing logs, assisting Dining Service Supervisor with Lunch and Learn diet related activities for participants.


Requirements:


  • Minimum age requirement of 1
  • Ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 60 pounds
  • Pass basic physical including a drug screen and receive an annual flu shot
  • Pass background check
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in a pleasant and effective manner with staff, participants and visitors while performing food service tasks.
  • Ability to meet Care Resources/Holland Home's standards for attendance.
  • Ability to meet the general health requirements as set forth by the policies of Care Resources/Holland Home, which includes a physical examination, TB testing and seasonal flu shot.

Job Qualifications:


  • The job requires knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Has experience working with the frail and elderly population.
  • Food service experience is desirable.

ABOUT CARE RESOURCES:


Care Resources operates the PACE program (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) which is located in our newly renovated facility at 4150 Kalamazoo Avenue SE in Grand Rapids.

Care Resources provides and coordinates all medical care and social services to eligible participants.

We provide all physician and nursing care, prescription drugs, durable medical equipment, dental, eye and foot care, hospital care, medical transportation, home care, emergency, rehab, social and recreational activities at the Day Center.

In order to be eligible for the PACE program, seniors must be 55 and older, a Kent County resident, able to live safely at home and meet the nursing facility level of care.
