Description

Under the supervision of the Supervising Groundskeeper II, and/or Lead Groundskeeper, personnel will plant, cultivate, water and spray ornamental plants, shrubsm hedges, trees and flowers.

Will plant and care for lawns (mowing, edging, and spraying for weed control), rake leaves, hoes, and weeds. Performs general grounds maintenance work, including trimming trees, hedges, shrubs and erects tree supports. Performs sprinkler maintenace and installation. Various other duties as required.

The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.

These disabilities include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and related conditions. Services are provided through state-operated developmental centers and community facilities, and contracts with 21 nonprofit regional centers.

The regional centers serve as a local resource to help find and access the services and supports available to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Fairview Developmental Center is located on 114 acres of state-owned land in Costa Mesa, CA.
