- Fulltime, split position 50% time in critical care, 50% time in anesthesia
- Largest cardiac surgical program in Wisconsin
- Seven 12hour shifts per month
- 30bed CVICU:
- Postop cardiac surgery including CABG, offpump CAB, valve surgery, aortic surgery, and heart transplantation
- Advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support devices
- Thoracic surgery
- Vascular surgery
- ECMO (VV and VA)
- Established cardiac and abdominal transplant programs
- Opportunity to do some of your own cases with some medical direction of lower risk cases
- Some cases may be done at our new surgery center, just minutes from the hospital
- Position offers flexibility you create the scheduled that fits your lifestyle
- EPIC EMR
- Prior clinical experience or training with ECMO management is preferred
- Prior clinical experience or training in the management of postop Cardiac surgical patients is desirable
- Prior experience with transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography desirable
- Residency training in Anesthesia required and Cardiac Anesthesia is desirable
- Fellowship trained in Critical Care Medicine required
- Boardeligibility or boardcertification in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, and Advanced Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (desirable)
