Position Summary:


Reports directly to President _I _CEO; under minimum supervision, is responsible for sales and revenue growth for both non-asset and asset based transportation and warehouse services as well as offering the entire suite of services Weber Logistics provides.

The position must provide both sales and customer interface on a daily basis as well as internal interaction to ensure the optimal customer experience.

Position will require approximately 50% travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Lead a sales team of "farmers and hunters," establishing goals, set expectation, coach, mentor, monitor performance and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Plans, Develops and implements organization policies and goals consistent with the established company policies and procedures designed to increase the volume of customer accounts and revenue for either existing or new logistics business.
  • Confers with internal administration and operational personnel to ensure customer expectations are achieved by assuring customer accounts receive the necessary level of operational and administrative support.
  • Represents the company in the market place promoting the organization in the local community, industry and trade associations.
  • Plan, prepare and participate in face to face sales call activity in an effort to ascertain the customer needs and requirements.
  • Cold Calling and assist SVP Marketing with ongoing strategies to increase business to include selling value added services.
  • Develop account strategies and ensure consistent implementation of those strategies with the end goal of driving new business development.

  • Maintaining good labor relations and responsible for playing a key role in contract negotiations with the Union.
  • Preparation and understanding of operating budgets and P&L statements. Prepare and execute a thorough work plan.
  • Represents the company in the market place promoting the organization in the local community, industry and trade associations.
  • Participate in face to face sales activity in an effort to ascertain the customer needs and requirements.

Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations:

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics _I _Supply Chain or related field or a combination of training and experience. Union and non-union experience.
