This full time position, reporting to the Director, is responsible for managing a minimal caseload and supervising the work of other case managers.
This position is also responsible for assuming the responsibilities of the Director in his/her absence.Required knowledge, Abilities and Experience:
Knowledge of:
Individual and group behavior of persons with criminal backgrounds
Ability to:
Administer community-based treatment through case management
Plan, organize and manage a caseload
Supervise the work of other case managers effectively
Interpret rules and regulations, policies and procedures, and the standards and objectives of the company and contracting agencies
Interpret contractual and administrative rights and obligations of residents
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other components of the Criminal Justice System
Act decisively, tactfully and with firmness in emergency situations;
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing with all levels of the organization and other components of the Criminal Justice System
Meet contracting agency clearance requirements, and
Work a flexible schedule
Academic and Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in social sciences or a related field and two years' experience supervising case work staff.
