Role Overview:


As the Head of People & Culture (Sr Director of People & Culture), your role is to partner with all parts of the business to build out functions under People & Culture in pace with our growth.

This role will balance strategy and hands-on execution.


Your role is to carry out the vision and strategy set by our Founding CEO, where People & Culture (HR) is seen as an empathetic, proactive partner to team members at all levels.

Collaborate across all facets of our dynamic organization to shape the future of the company.

This is a key differentiator for this position as compared to similar roles in other companies - plug-and-play HR does not work here; You will create the foundation while fostering connections, combining purpose and passion to craft a magical work environment.


With our team more than doubling in size over the last 4 years, we've created strategic partnerships to amplify our reach and impact.

We have expanded our talent pool with key partnerships on and off-shore to allow more flexibility and support.

We have a great People & Culture Team in place, and are looking for the right leader to be able to advise, coach, and empower the team, while seamlessly blending high-level strategy with hands-on involvement.

What you'll be doing:


  • Develop a deep understanding of the business to enable your role and the entire People & Culture team to become strategic partners to drive and exceed FreedomCare's goals.
  • Create and execute FreedomCare's People & Culture vision and strategy to meet the needs of our growing organization. Ensure our P&C infrastructure, team, and partnerships are built to scale to support nationwide expansion and growth to a base of 1000+ employees over the next 35 years.
  • Leverage "next in class" people practices tailored to our unique culture and requirements.
  • Build and lead a highperforming team that embodies and champions FreedomCare values
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the People & Culture Directors, fostering a collaborative environment and strategic direction that enables them to excel in their respective domains and contribute to the broader goals of the organization
  • Develop and manage budget for People & Culture function
  • Oversee development of metrics and dashboard to show the team's impact, driving continuous improvement and program refinement
  • Be a champion of our mission and an ambassador to our values, fostering employee engagement by connecting them with our larger purpose of changing the world with the work that we do
  • Build strong relationships with our leadership team to clearly understand their goals, needs and unique challenges related to employees within their department, and develop strategies that are focused on developing the team as both individuals and leaders
  • Partner to CEO and Senior Leadership Team in determining business goals, growth plans, company communications, alignment on operational philosophies, develop our people, and create an amazing culture
  • Coach members of our senior leadership team and high potential leaders individually with an approach that honors the whole person, while also holding the larger agenda of improving their performance and reaching the larger goals of our business
  • Manage employee relations issues through coaching, promoting effective communication and framing them as opportunities to learn and grow
  • Directly or indirectly oversee external partners directly, including outsourced Legal, Benefits, and HR Compliance providers
  • Build current day and future strategies for People & Culture org, including Talent Acquisition, People Operations, People/HR Business Partners, Learning & Talent Development, and Office & Culture

What we are looking for:


  • Bachelor's degree required; relevant Master's degree a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience; experience in talent acquisition, employee retention and development strategies
  • Experience with startup or young companies, taking them to scale demonstrating the ability to scale initiatives and
