    **Senior Transportation Coordinator**

    **PURPOSE OF ROLE:**

    This role is a part of Ravagos Domestic Transportation Department. The department supports ~30 of Ravagos Business Divisions and manages a transportation budget of ~$125M and ~150,000 shipments annually. As a Senior Transportation Coordinator, you will serve as a point person for day to day escalations, internal team questions, and other broader projects coordinated with the Team Lead. The Senior Transportation Coordinator should be able to ensure that all Transportation Coordinators are completing their daily responsibilities as needed and in a timely manner. The Senior Coordinator should also be comfortable handling day to day escalations from both the Transportation team as well as any other Ravago departments, primarily Sales and Customer Service. These escalations can range from shipping/delivery issues, to rate negotiations, or to ongoing training questions.

    **KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:**

    Supporting the Transportation team and ensuring all coordinators are completing all required daily tasks

    Serve as point person for any day to day escalations from Sales, Customer Service, or other departments

    Manage rate approvals

    Work with Team Lead on department projects and streamlining efforts

    Identify contract rate opportunities and negotiate rates with carrier partners

    Assessing team delay coding to identify areas for improvement

    Assist with any tracking or admin responsibilities as needed

    Ability to provide rotational afterhours coverage for 2-3 weeks of the year

    All other duties as assigned

    **KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE**

    Bachelors Degree required

    Must have experience using a TMS system (Oracle preferred)

    Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant logistics or warehousing position

    Knowledge of transportation modes and warehouse operations

    Must possess excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills

    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word

    Minimum of 12 months tenure in current position
