**Job Description**

**AECOM** Water is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join our growing Orlando, FL office. This role will lead and support design efforts for a variety of water infrastructure projects including treatment facilities, pump stations, and conveyance.

**Job Description:**

+ Participates in development of technical proposals.

+ Design low voltage and medium voltage electrical distribution systems for industrial water/wastewater applications, as well as, traditional building services.

+ Perform design for lighting, fire alarm, telephone, security, and grounding systems.

+ Prepare design drawings including single line diagrams, electrical plans, wiring schematics, schedules, etc.

+ Prepare and develop engineering studies, reports, calculations, designs, specifications, and construction cost estimates in compliance with applicable code and standard requirements.

+ Establish electrical equipment performance parameters based on project requirements and coordinate with equipment vendors to refine preliminary selections.

+ Use computer software as a tool to solve engineering problems.

+ Manage designs during construction including shop drawing review, information request response, and punch list generation.

+ Provide quality assurance oversight and independent quality control reviews to support deliverables developed by others including calculations, plans, specifications, and engineering reports.

+ Develop engineering fee estimates, assist with technical proposal preparation.

+ Work within a project team environment, interfacing and coordinating with other disciplines and design team members.

+ Collaborate with design professionals and project managers in other US offices.

+ Occasional light local and national travel to project sites.

+ Experienced with large, multidisciplinary projects in a engineering role.

+ Perform electrical system designs including:

+ Switchgears,

+ Switchboards,

+ Motor control centers,

+ Variable frequency drives,

+ Generators, transformers,

+ Distribution panels, and

+ Other electrical distribution systems components.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Qualifications:**

+ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering plus 4 years of relevant experience

+ Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Florida, or ability to become licensed within one year.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ 5+ years of Electrical design experience, preferably relating to water treatment facilities, pump stations, or water infrastructure.

+ Proficient with electrical design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, and Amp Calc.

+ Proven problem solver able to grasp complex concepts readily.

+ Ability to apply passion and leadership in a collaborative and progressive team-oriented work environment.
