    Description

    Position Summary

    Responsible for developing and maintaining governmental, political, and community networks within PG&E's service areas. Collaborates with cities, counties, community, environmental, and business organizations to enhance customer loyalty, environmental leadership, community engagement, and enable infrastructure development. Plans and implements government relations and public affairs programs and services while providing emergency response and support to local communities. This role is hybrid, allowing work from a remote office and Santa Rosa based on business requirements.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Attends, participates, and represents PG&E within activities, events, and functions of community organizations.
    • Develops and maintains government, political, and community networks and affiliations.
    • Responds to and resolves customer issues referred by federal, state, and local elected officials.
    • Serves as a political/community point-of-contact for PG&E within assigned areas.
    • Collaborates with PG&E's lines of business (LOB) to enhance government relations and public affairs partnerships.
    • Coordinates external contacts during crisis and emergency response situations.
    • Coordinates analysis and responses regarding government relations and public affairs to political entities.
    • Builds positive relationships with key external stakeholders, including officials, organizations, unions, and community leaders.
    • Develops and implements government relations programs, including political action committees and grassroots efforts.
    • Establishes cooperative relationships with Office of Emergency Services and other external contacts.

    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 3 years of experience as a Political Consultant or in a related job
    • CA Class C License or equivalent
    • Record of Clean Driving

    Desired:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science or related field or equivalent experience
    • Utility industry experience
    • 4 years of experience as a Political Consultant or in a related job
