The Emma L. Bowen Community Service Center is seeking a Program Director to join our team. This position is a terrific opportunity for someone to gain additional experience and make a difference in the lives of our clients.

For over 45 forty-five years, our organization has provided mental health and holistic services in northern Manhattan for families, children, adolescents, and other adults including the elderly in a supportive and caring environment. We also have an out-patient and residential substance abuse program as well as a Therapeutic Preschool for 3-5 year olds.

Upper Manhattan Mental Health Center is a Certified National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:
Director - Adult Outpatient


Job Location:

Hours: 35 hrs./week, Monday - Friday

DUTIES:


  • Coordinateoverall service and administration policy and procedure for Adult Outpatient Mental Health Services.
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to by staff.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the entire staff.
  • Responsible for managerial and programmatic oversight.
  • Supervise social work supervisors in the management and conductof their duties and in the continued development of their work skills.
  • Oversee intakes, case reviews, case consultation, and casetermination procedures and decisions.
  • Participate with the psychiatrists and Medical/Executive Directorin the planning and development of new unit services or in the refinement of existing ones. Consult regularly with psychiatrists on staff plans and implement ongoing training/education programs.
  • Establish interorganizational networks with other agencies in thecommunity to foster integrated services to clientele.
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meeting
    s relevant to maintaining and enhancing services.
  • Ensure Program compliance with all applicable governmental and regulatory mandates.
  • Prepare staff performance evaluations and program reports andother documentation as requested by the Medical/Executive Director.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance/Utilization review in AdultOutpatient Mental Health Services which includes but is not limited to monitoring and reviewing charts.
  • Ensure all staff meet their performance requirements, including but not limited to levels of service, quality assurance, etc.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Medical Director/Executive Director

Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Social Work and New York State License/certification with five (5) years of clinical and administrative experience working with the adult chronically mentally ill population.

Pay:
$105, $110,000.00 per year
