Job Summary
Delta Apparel, Inc. is seeking a
Warehouse Forklift Operator to join the team in our
Phoenix, AZ location. The equipment operator is responsible for loading, unloading, picking and staging orders and cycle counts as needed.


Essential Job Functions

  • Able to achieve daily productivity standards.
  • Transports freight, pulls merchandise, replaces freight, fills daily orders, and controls freight flow when operating moving equipment in a safe and correct manner.
  • Comply with safety and security policies.
  • Perform tasks that are assigned by his or her supervisor.
  • Safely move goods from one point to another within the warehouse.
  • Clean/maintain warehouse, warehouse grounds and dispose of debris.

Job Requirements**
_ Competencies: (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)_

  • Experience in warehousing / manufacturing environment.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and effectively manage workload.
  • Strong attention to detail, a sense of urgency and focus on accuracy.

  • Able to analyze information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies.

Experience:
_**Minimum of 1-years verifiable experience in safely operating machinery listed above.

_HS Diploma


Work Environment

  • The work environment includes cold and heat temperatures and may experience excessive humidity.
  • Working indoor around machinery with moving parts and heavy equipment.
  • Work environment may include noise and require working proximity to others.
  • The job requires to work inperson.

Physical Demands

  • Standing and walking continuously for up to eight hours per day.
  • Bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting and reaching heights on an intermittent basis for up to eight hours per day.
  • Grasping, pushing and pulling of materials on an intermittent basis for up to eight hours per day.
  • Reaching and working above and below the shoulder level on an intermittent basis for up to eight hours per day.
